SERVICES OFFERED
Our compassionate, friendly and professional staff includes certified physical, occupational and speech therapists as well as social workers who are specially trained in geriatric care. Therapy programs for each resident are created by our therapists in harmony with our residents’ personal physicians, thereby making certain each resident has a comprehensive care plan designed specifically for him or her. Our staff members work to preserve the highest level of resident dignity and independence possible.
We take great pride in our short-term rehabilitation program. Participants in this program are our “guests†as their stay with us is temporary. Our therapists, along with each guest’s personal physician, create individualized programs designed to meet the rehabilitative needs of each participant and maximize his or her full potential with the goal being a return to an independent setting.
In order to maintain our exceptional level of quality care, our staff members participate in ongoing training programs and health-related seminars within their respective fields. Accommodations
Our single-level floor plan lends itself to easy mobility for our residents as they visit with friends and family, dine and attend activities within the facility. Wedgewood’s smaller size creates an intimate and residential atmosphere.
Beautifully decorated dining and activity rooms provide our residents with safe and comfortable settings in which to relax, socialize and share special moments while enjoying all the comforts of home. Although our resident rooms are fully furnished, our residents are welcome to bring familiar items with them such as photographs and other special mementos to help create a feeling of home.
Cable television service and telephone service are conveniently available in each resident room. Each of our bedrooms and restrooms are furnished with a nurse call system to reassure our residents that personal nursing assistance, if needed, is immediately available.
Wedgewood provides complete laundry and housekeeping services as well as easy and convenient access to in-house podiatry, optometry, beauty shop and barber services. Complimentary in-house dental services are also available to our residents.
RECREATION/ACTIVITIES
Our residents experience the delight of new friendships, new interests and new enthusiasm as they participate in a variety of social and recreational activities designed to enhance their well-being. One of the primary goals of our activities staff is to discover ways to enrich the lives of our residents so they may continue to feel challenged, active and involved.
Among many of our popular social activities here at Wedgewood are outings to popular Spencerport community restaurants, shopping, and concerts. Sweet tooth, anyone? Historic Abbott’s Custard Parlor is a favorite destination sure to satisfy even those with the grandest of appetites for sweet treats. Enjoying delicious coffee while fishing on the canal, cheering as local parades pass by, birthday parties, visits from children’s groups, special holiday celebrations, bingo, pet therapy and arts and crafts are just a few of our sure-to-bring-a-smile activities enjoyed by all.

DIET & NUTRITION
The aroma of home-cooked meals prepared by our dedicated food service staff invites residents to socialize and dine within a family setting. Our dietitians take great pride in preparing delicious meals designed to meet the dietary and nutritional needs of each resident.
While we strongly believe our residents benefit greatly from socializing with their friends while they dine in our beautiful Garden Dining Room, we are sensitive to those residents who may require our personalized room service. Friends and family are always welcome to join their loved one for a delicious meal.

The comfort and well-being of our residents is of the utmost importance to us at Wedgewood Nursing Facility. Wedgewood is affiliated with a number of area hospitals and we accept numerous forms of insurance. Please inquire about our special rate program with Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
