SERVICES OFFERED
Our compassionate, friendly and professional staff includes certified physical, occupational and speech therapists as well as social workers who are specially trained in geriatric care. Therapy programs for each resident are created by our therapists in harmony with our residents’ personal physicians, thereby making certain each resident has a comprehensive care plan designed specifically for them.
We take great pride in our short-term rehabilitation program. Participants in this program are our “guests†as their stay with us is temporary. Our therapists, along with each guest’s personal physician, create individualized programs designed to meet the rehabilitative needs of each participant and maximize his or her full potential with the goal being a return to an independent setting.
With an established reputation as an innovator within the rehabilitative community, we offer a broad range of physical and mobility-enhancing therapies that are designed to improve our residents’ quality of life. Accommodations
Our spacious living, dining and activity rooms provide residents with a safe and comfortable environment in which to relax, socialize and share special moments while enjoying all the comforts of home.
Although our resident rooms are fully furnished, our residents are welcome to bring photographs and other special mementos with them to create a feeling of home.
Cable television service and telephone service are conveniently available in each resident room. Each of our bedrooms and restrooms are furnished with a nurse call system to reassure our residents that personal nursing assistance, if needed, is immediately available.
Hornell Gardens provides complete laundry and housekeeping services as well as easy and convenient access to in-house podiatry, optometry, beauty shop and barber services. Complimentary in-house dental services are also available to our residents.
RECREATION/ACTIVITIES
Our residents experience the delight of new friendships, new interests and new enthusiasm as they participate in a variety of social and recreational activities designed to enhance their well-being. One of the primary goals of our activities staff is to discover ways to enrich the lives of our residents so they may continue to feel challenged, active and involved.
Among many of our popular social activities here at Hornell Gardens are frequent day trips in our wheelchair-accessible hospitality mini-bus, outings to restaurants and shopping. Picnics, pet therapy, visits from community children’s groups, bingo and holiday celebrations are but a few of our sure-to-bring-a-smile activities, all designed to enhance the emotional and spiritual well-being of our residents. If that wasn’t enough, our residents like to enhance their creative skills with their popular Craft Club. The Baking Club, Men’s Club, Lunch Bunch and Red Hat Society are resident-created clubs rounding out a very full social calendar.

DIET & NUTRITION
The aroma of home-cooked meals prepared by our dedicated food service staff invites residents to socialize and dine within a family setting. Our dietitians take great pride in preparing delicious meals designed to meet the dietary and nutritional needs of each resident.
While we strongly believe our residents benefit greatly from socializing with their friends while they dine in our beautiful Sherwood and Victorian Dining Rooms, we are sensitive to those residents who may require our personalized room service. Friends and family are always welcome to join their loved one for a delicious meal.

The comfort and well-being of our residents is of the utmost importance to us at Hornell Gardens. Hornell Gardens is affiliated with a number of area hospitals and we accept numerous forms of insurance. Please inquire about our special rate program with Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
