The Long Term Care Unit at Catskill Regional Medical Center has been designated an Island Peer Review Organization (IPRO) Award-Winning Facility for providing the highest quality of care for individuals requiring both long-term care and short-term rehabilitation. This 64-bed facility is accredited by The Joint Commission.
We are dedicated to promoting the highest level of independence and the best medical care in a home-like setting. We offer both private and semi-private rooms with breathtaking views of the Catskill Mountains. Residents have spacious activity rooms, lounges, sunrooms and internet access. During the warmer months, residents are able to enjoy the beautiful Woodland Wildings Garden, located on the grounds for both residents and their family members.
The Long Term Care Unit also offers the distinct advantage of being on the campus of Catskill Regional Medical Center. In the event of a medical crisis, qualified medical experts are just a few steps away. In addition, a great emphasis has been placed on rehabilitation and successfully transitioning residents back in to the community. The therapy team provides resident specific programming right in the unit.
The health services provided at the Long Term Care Unit allow for complete access to the full range of medical services offered at the hospital- 24-hour skilled nursing care; rehabilitation services; physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapies; podiatry services; dental care; and laboratory and radiology services.
Our Professional Team is comprised of: Medical Director, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Certified Social Worker, Certified Activities Director, ADA Registered Dieticians, Licensed Physical Therapists, Licensed Occupational Therapists, and Licensed Speech/Language Pathologists.
