Absolut Care of Gasport is a one story 83 bed facility nestled in a pleasant neighborhood in the quaint village of Gasport. Absolut Care of Gasport specializes in short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care. Known for our successes in wound and bariatric (obese) care, Absolut Care of Gasport has specially trained staff and specialized equipment to meet these needs.
Absolut Care of Gasport was built in June of 1966 as Hilltop Home, a skilled nursing facility of 40 beds at the time. Additional beds were added on in 1984. A quiet park-like setting offers residents an opportunity to enjoy peace and solitude while bird watching with our numerous feeders placed around the facility grounds. Our beautifully landscaped grounds near our patio area and around the facility, offers added serenity and beauty. As you enter the facility's main lobby, you have the feeling of walking into someone's front room. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and comforting.
Our dedicated and committed staff prides itself on providing the best possible care for our residents, strive to maintain their comfort, dignity and provide companionship to those who may have no one else or may be in need of that extra special attention. Residents' privacy, special needs, dignity, freedom of choice and lifestyle is the basis for each individualized plan of care.
Residents entering Absolut Care of Gasport have a choice of utilizing their own physician to follow them from the local area. If they do not have a local physician, our Medical Director will oversee their medical needs while they are at our facility.
Absolut Care of Gasport has private, private deluxe and semi-private accommodations. We feature "rehab suites" where television and phone service is provided.
Extensive renovations have recently been made throughout the building. Recent changes in the dining room have given it a very elegant restaurant style atmosphere.
Our experienced therapists have been with us for many years and provide geriatric therapy along with the psychological understanding that is needed to work with those of any age who are in need of rehabilitation. Therapy staff prides themselves on their ability to obtain the goals of our residents and to return people back to the comfort of home.
Our entire staff feel that once someone comes through the door, they are "family" and are treated as such by the many professionals on staff.
Absolut Care of Gasport also has two large and bright dining/activities areas, a private dining/meeting room for families to use on special occasions with residents, and an enclosed interior courtyard with a pavilion.
Absolut Care of Gasport accepts most insurances, and we offer assistance in applying for Medicaid, if needed.
