Welcome to The Mountain View located at 1 Jansen Road on beautiful property in the village of New Paltz, New York overlooking the magnificent Shawangunk Mountains, whose rocky ledges are sought after by rock climbers around the world. Our facility began as a modest four-bed nursing home in the 1960â€™s and was operated by its original owner Evelyn Blue and her family until it was sold in year 2000.

Services Offered

- The Mountain View is a beautifully furnished 79-bed healthcare facility which offers 65 spacious private rooms and a variety of services to meet the diverse needs of our guests.

- Our location in the Hudson Valley affords us the opportunity to serve the surrounding communities north to Kingston, south to Newburgh and east to Poughkeepsie.

- In addition to Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Onsite and Offsite
Activities Programming, and Beauty and Barber Services we provide on-site podiatry, dental, ophthalmology and neurology services.

- The short-term care program includes intensive services for those who cannot immediately return to their home after an illness or accident and need more care in a less restrictive, comfortable environment. Our staff is skilled and prepared to accommodate those intensive rehabilitation needs and more complex medical needs such as wound care and IV therapy in their own private room.

- We also provide long term care for individuals who cannot care for themselves and require 24 hour compassionate nursing care as well as palliative care, including Hospice services for those who are in the advance stages of terminal illness.

- Our team encourages resident and family participation so that a care plan is developed that best maximizes each residentâ€™s level of function.
