Our compassionate, friendly and professional staff includes certified physical, occupational and speech therapists as well as social workers who are specially trained in geriatric care. Staff members work in concert with residents, family members and personal physicians to preserve the highest possible level of resident dignity and independence.
We take great pride in our short-term rehabilitation program. Participants in this program are our “guests†as their stay with us is temporary. Our therapists, along with each guest's personal physician, create individualized programs designed to meet the rehabilitative needs of each participant and maximize their full potential with the goal being their return to an independent setting.
With an established reputation as an innovator within the rehabilitative community, we offer a broad range of physical and mobility-enhancing therapies that are designed to improve our residents' quality of life. Accommodations
Our single-level floor plan lends itself to easy mobility for our residents as they visit with friends and family, dine and attend activities within the facility. Our beautifully decorated living, dining and activity rooms provide our residents with safe and comfortable settings in which they can relax, socialize and share special moments while enjoying all the comforts of home. Our smaller size creates an intimate and residential atmosphere for our residents.
Adjusting to a new environment isn't always easy. We are sensitive to this, and while we hope our living environment is warm and welcoming, what says home more than something personal? Although our resident rooms are fully furnished, our residents are welcome to bring familiar items with them such as photographs and other special mementos to help create a feeling of home here at The Brightonian.
Our resident accommodations are primarily private rooms. There are a number of semi-private rooms throughout the facility for those residents who prefer a shared living experience.
Cable television and telephone services are conveniently available in each resident room and are included in our facility services rate. We furnish all bedrooms and restrooms with a special nurse call system to reassure our residents that personal nursing assistance, if needed, is immediately accessible. The Brightonian provides complete laundry and housekeeping services as well as easy and convenient access to podiatry, optometry, beauty shop and barber services. Complimentary in-house dental services are also available to our residents.
Relationship with The Fountains, Boca Raton, Florida
For families that travel to Florida during our chilly winter months that would like to have their loved one close by, The Brightonian has a long-standing relationship with an affiliate nursing home in Boca Raton, Florida. The Fountains Nursing Home is similar to The Brightonian in size, elegance and their excellent reputation for providing quality care. RECREATION AND ACTIVITIES
Our residents experience the delight of new friendships, new interests and new enthusiasm as they participate in a variety of social and recreational activities designed to enhance their emotional and spiritual well-being.
Among many of our popular activities at The Brightonian are frequent day trips in our wheelchair-accessible hospitality minibus to concerts, museums and restaurants. Our residents also enjoy in-house pet therapy, art therapy and much more.
Families enjoy relaxing with their loved one and residents take pleasure in attending parties and cookouts in our glass-enclosed summer house nestled behind the facility.
Cultural and religious services are also provided for all faiths and denominations.
DIET AND NUTRITION
The aroma of home-cooked meals prepared by our dedicated food service staff invites residents to socialize and dine within a family setting. Our dietitians take great pride in preparing delicious meals designed to meet each of our residents’ individual dietary and nutritional needs.
While we strongly believe our residents benefit greatly from socializing with their friends while they dine in our beautiful Garden Dining Room, we are sensitive to those residents who may require our personalized room service. Friends and family are always welcome to join their loved one for a delicious meal.
ADMISSIONS
The comfort and well-being of our residents is of the utmost importance to us at The Brightonian. The Brightonian is affiliated with a number of area hospitals. We accept numerous forms of insurance. Please inquire about our special rate program with Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
