Our nursing center is for residents in need of short term rehabilitative services and well as those in need of long term skilled nursing services. We place our emphasis on living. We make every effort to help individuals care for themselves to the best of their ability and return to the community whenever possible. For those who cannot, we offer a holistic approach to their medical, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
We insist on more than technical and professional competence from our staff. We take pride in our dedicated physicians and medical specialists who respond to everyday needs as well as problems and emergencies. Our competent, caring nurses carefully monitor each resident's condition and personal comfort. You will be pleased with the variety of accommodations. Deluxe private rooms offer an abundance of comfort and privacy for the resident and the family. Well-appointed, semiprivate units provide ample space and companionship. Residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms with familiar items to create a home away from home.
Medical Services...
Our health care services are organized and delivered through a plan of care individualized for each resident. The combined efforts of the attending physician and nursing staff, along with other disciplines, such as physical therapy, dietetics, social services and activities, help ensure that each resident receives the quality of care for comfortable living with dignity and satisfaction.
The resident's choice of attending physician prescribes the medical care and our medical director oversees the entire medical and nursing regimen.
The nursing service is directed by a registered professional nurse with extensive experience. Our well-trained, licensed personnel are on duty at all times to meet the residents' needs and provide maximum comfort.
Rehabilitation...
Our rehabilitation department, which is equipped with state of the art equipment, is integral in enabling our residents to recuperate faster and achieve a level of maximum function. We offer physical therapy services six days per week.
Dietary...
Clients enjoy an individually designed nutritional program as prescribed by their attending physician and supervised by a dietitian. Clients' likes and dislikes are taken into consideration. For those who need assistance, the staff is always available to help. Delicious snacks and nutritional supplements are available.
Activities...
Our residents enjoy a variety of recreational, social, and religious opportunities that promote socialization, motivation, and stimulation. Residents enjoy frequent special entertainment, such as strolling musicians, choral groups, community bands, and ethnic dancers. Many of our events are geared toward family participation as well as outdoor and community events. Colorful, large print activity calendars are provided monthly to each resident so they can select and plan for the activities they wish to participate in.

Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is proud to announce the newly acquired satellite television capabilities in all residents’ rooms. 32 channels include a selection of news, history, food, nature, sports, movies, and other interesting programs for the viewers’ pleasure. Additionally, there is a special feature of the Susquehanna Information Channel, which provides daily recreational and activity events, announcements, and the regular showing of current, just out of the theater movies.
The Rehab Rooms and the Private Rooms now have Flat Screen Plasma Televisions!
