The Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Inc., located at 104 Old Niagara Road, Lockport, NY. Is situated on a scenic 32 acre site along the historic Erie Barge Canal and has been providing health care for over 100 years.
The Odd Fellows & Rebekahs are truly proud of their facility as it is adapted to caring of all levels of care.
The facility is operated as a 501:3© not-for-profit corporation, non-sectarian, which means the facility admits anyone requiring skilled nursing care, not just Odd Fellows and Rebekahs.
The daily operation of the facility is conducted by the Administrator/CEO, who reports to the Board of Directors who are all Odd Fellows and Rebekahs elected from sponsoring Lodges.
SOME OF THE SERVICES INCLUDED IN THE DAILY RATE:
- Room & Board
- 24 Hour nursing care supervised by Registered Nurses
- Fresh bed and bath lines
- Food service program tailored to the resident’s needs
- Scheduled recreational, motivational and social activities
- Routine and emergency dental care
- Housekeeping services
- Social work services
- Customarily stocked supportive equipment (ex: walker, wheelchair, etc.) to be used on site
SERVICES PROVIDED ON SITE AT AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE WHICH MAY BE BILLED TO YOU OR TO A THIRD PARTY INSURANCE COMPANY, IF APPLICABLE:
- Transportation services
- Physician care
- Comprehensive rehabilitation services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and swallowing therapy, audiology services)
- Prescription and over the counter medications ordered by the physician.
- Podiatry consultations
- X-ray and laboratory services
- Paranteral and enteral nutrition supplies
- Supportive equipment ordered by a physician which become the resident’s personal property.
- Beauty/Barber shop services
- Hospice Care
- Guest Meals
RESPITE CARE
In today’s news, the phrase “Sandwich Generation†is used to describe those individuals who are currently raising a family and providing care fro an aging parent or loved one.
While this responsibility can be rewarding, it can also be very stressful. The need for personal rejuvenation becomes a luxury that most caregivers cannot afford due to the lack of care for their aging loved one.
To meet this need, the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Inc. has developed a Respite Care program designed specially for short term stays. Residents are provided with 24 hour nursing care, 3 meals a day and a variety of activities.
The program was developed for caregivers seeking temporary care for a loved one while on vacation, attend out-of-town functions or simply to relax.
Respite services are offered for up to 30 days. First time candidates scheduled for respite care need a physician order for nursing home care and meet with facility staff in the individual’s home or at the facility. Whichever is more convenient and practical. The purpose of the meeting is to assess the needs of the individual.
We are committed to providing complete and professional services to meet your needs.
We offer 2 respite beds for short term residents while their primary caregivers take a vacation, attend to their own health needs, etc.
Respite stays can vary in length, but can not exceed a 30 day stay. Respite stay Residents are provided with 24 hour nursing care, 3 meals a day, and are offered a variety of activity programs during their stay.
REHABILITATION SERVICES
We offer short and long term rehabilitation care for people recovering from surgery, strokes, fractures, joint replacements, and those who need rehabilitation following a hospital stay for an illness.
Our trained multidisciplinary staff is here to provide dignified care to help our rehab residents achieve their maximum level of independence and to improve their quality of life.
Our discharge planning team works with our rehab residents to help them return home or to a lesser level of care. They also plan for a safe discharge and set up outside services that are necessary for a successful return home.
