Welcome to New York State Veterans' Home at Montrose.
The New York State Veterans' Home at Montrose is a healthcare facility owned and operated by the New York State Department of Health for Veterans' and their dependants. We provide quality care to all eligible veterans' and their eligible dependents in need of skilled nursing care and rehabilitative services. We also conduct research in geriatrics and provide education and training for health care professionals.
Serving the Veterans' and their families of the Lower Hudson Valley since 2001. NYSVH Montrose is located on the VA Medical Center Grounds and has 252 beds.
Facilities
The building is a single story design with six "Y" shaped residential wings of 42 beds each, accomidating 252 beds. Seven bed "clusters" in each nursing wing are designed for maximum privacy and convienience of each resident. Other features of our facility include a spacious multipurpose room with a full service "deli", a 27' panaramic fish tank, and a gift shop.
Services
The New York State Veterans' Home at Montrose is certified for Medicaid and Medicare specializing in skilled care. Each resident must require skilled nursing care. The facility provides skilled nursing care including IV Therapy, Wound Management, Tracheostomy care, as well as full Rehabilitation Services; Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy.
