SERVICES OFFERED
Our compassionate, friendly and professional staff includes certified physical, occupational and speech therapists as well as social workers who are specially trained in geriatric care. Our staff members work in concert with residents, family members and personal physicians to preserve the highest possible level of resident dignity and independence.
We take great pride in our short-term rehabilitation program. Participants in this program are our “guests†as their stay with us is temporary. Our therapists, along with each guest’s personal physician, create individualized programs designed to meet the rehabilitative needs of each participant and maximize his or her full potential with the goal being a return to an independent setting.
In order to maintain our exceptional level of quality care, our staff members participate in ongoing training programs and health-related seminars within their respective fields. Our carefully chosen team of professionals is ready 24 hours a day to provide our residents with the skilled services they may need. Accommodations
Our single-level floor plan lends itself to easy mobility for our residents as they visit with friends and family, dine and attend activities within the facility. Beautifully decorated dining and activity rooms provide our residents with safe and comfortable settings in which they can relax, socialize and share special moments while enjoying all the comforts of home. Although our resident rooms are fully furnished, our residents are welcome to bring photographs and other special mementos with them to create a feeling of home here at Elm Manor.
Cable television service and telephone service are conveniently available in each resident room. We furnish all bedrooms and restrooms with a nurse call system to reassure our residents that personal nursing assistance, if needed, is immediately available.
Elm Manor Nursing Facility provides complete laundry and housekeeping services as well as easy and convenient access to in-house podiatry, dentistry, beauty shop and barber services.
RECREATION/ACTIVITIES
One of the primary goals of our activities staff is to discover ways to enrich the lives of our residents so they may continue to feel challenged, active and involved. We encourage our residents to express themselves within a variety of social activities.
Among many of our popular events are outings to restaurants, shopping, and concerts. Arts and crafts, pet therapy, bingo, picnics, holiday celebrations and much more are enjoyed by all. Our residents take great pleasure in participating in our resident gardening club. But the fun doesn’t stop there for our residents as they are full of smiles and laughter when they get together for our resident food club activities.
Cultural and religious services are also provided.
DIET & NUTRITION
The aroma of home-cooked meals prepared by our dedicated food service staff invites residents to socialize and dine within a family setting. Our dietitians take great pride in customizing and preparing delicious meals designed to meet the dietary and nutritional needs of each resident.
While we strongly believe our residents benefit greatly from socializing with their friends while they dine in our Keuka Dining Room or our Canadice Dining Room, we are sensitive to those residents who may require our personalized room service. Friends and family are always welcome to join their loved one for a delicious, home-cooked meal.
ADMISSIONS
The comfort and well-being of our residents is of the utmost importance to us at Elm Manor Nursing Facility. Elm Manor is affiliated with a number of area hospitals, and we accept numerous forms of insurance. Please inquire about our special rate program with Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
