Arnot Health's Skilled Nursing Residential Health Care Facility is a 40-bed facility located on the 4th floor of Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY. While delivering quality long-term skilled nursing care, the recently renovated facility provides the comforts of home with the comfort of knowing that top quality healthcare services are located in the same building.
The Arnot Ogden Medical Center Residential Care facility is best suited for a patient who requires assistance with daily living and around the clock nursing supervision. Our comprehensive services include rehabilitation, nutrition, counseling, and ancillary services such as security, maintenance, laundry and housekeeping.
Keeping residents as active as possible is an important part of the facility's philosophy. Residents are provided with the necessary equipment to allow the most independence. In addition, regular scheduled programs and events provide opportunities for the residents to stay active.
We also provide Hospice services by a team of compassionate staff and a local Hospice agency.

OUR CARING ENVIRONMENT
Life at our skilled nursing facility is rewarding for residents, families and staff. Regular programs and events include recreational and social activities, religious services and visits from the community.
Residents can also enjoy the company of family and friends in the spacious living area located in the heart of the facility. There is also a common dining area or patio they can enjoy. Private rooms may be arranged for visitors with advanced notice.
ACTIVITIES
Arnot Ogden's Residential Healthcare Facility offers a variety of activities to fit each resident's needs. Many of the ideas for the activities come from the residents themselves.
Residents do not have to give up hobbies they previously enjoyed because they enter a skilled nursing facility, we can adopt our programs to fit many of the things they enjoy. Music programs, games, crafts or dinner at an area restaurant are some of the activities that our residents enjoy weekly.
Visits from children's day care, entertainers and presentations with slides or computers are regularly scheduled. There are volunteers who assist resident with things like creating family trees on the computer or just going outside the facilities park-like setting. We get to know the residents and their family and use their input to develop activities that work for everyone.
