Our mission is to provide an environment for the delivery of services designed to promote and expand quality care to aging persons, allowing them to lead full and dignified lives.
SKILLED NURSING
Syracuse Home's skilled nursing program provides professional care that meets the changing health needs of those we serve. Designed to help older adults with a variety of medical conditions, the professional and comprehensive care provided by our nursing team is why Syracuse Home has been a leader in health care since our founding in 1851. Gentle and supportive expert care is provided to all residents. Customized direct care is the hallmark of Syracuse Home. Frequent in-service training and continuing education enhances our compassionate and professional care.
REHABILITATION
Rehabilitation Therapies include both restorative and maintenance therapies. Physical therapists work with residents to help them regain skills they may have lost, helping residents maintain optimum physical freedom. Residents admitted for short-term stays return to their homes after benefiting from our excellent rehabilitation program.
Acting as both advocates and liaisons, social workers are always available to residents and their families for support and counseling.
Our chaplain enriches the spiritual and emotional lives of residents and their families. Services for all faiths are held in the lovely, light-filled Esther Law Room.
RESPITE CARE
Respite Care is designed to give caretakers an intermittent break from the responsibility of caring for a loved one. By scheduling a temporary stay at Syracuse Home, caregivers are afforded a break from the tremendous responsibility of providing care at home.
NEVER A LACK OF THINGS TO DO - ALWAYS TIME FOR QUIET REFLECTION
The trained recreational staff provides therapeutic activities to improve sensory stimulation and enhance mental well being.
The activities staff orchestrates everything from shopping excursions to educational presentations, to bowling, bingo, cards and games, to entertainment by local celebrities, plus numerous crafts and holiday attractions.

Pets in residence provide a home-like feeling at the nursing center. The residents are dedicated caretakers of our lovable furry and feathered friends.
Personal care services are designed to make our residents feel their optimum best.
Gracious service enhances the social atmosphere in the elegant main dining room, and unit dining rooms. Professional dietary staff are skilled in preparing meals to meet every special need.
A beauty salon offers a full-time hairdresser and part-time barber.
Housekeeping includes personal laundry services.
